Amazon Finds – Spring, 2025

I’ve made some fun Amazon purchases over the last few months, and I’m here to share those with you today. I’ve really loved my recent Amazon finds and of course, the convenience! So, here we go!

I admit, I have a thing for black tops. I like them. I’m not sure why so many of my tops are black, but I do prefer them. I also prefer a 3/4 sleeve. So, this one was an easy choice! It’s comfortable, lightweight, and versatile. I sized up one size from my usual, and I like how it fits. I do think my regular size would have fit, just with a less loose feel, so I’m glad I sized up.

Hongdian Solid Brass Fountain Pen Medium Nib Classic Design Smooth Writing Pen with Ink Refill Converter and Pen Box Set

Yes, another fountain pen! I have a similar one in rainbow, and I like the way it writes. So I added this brass one to my collection. I use it a lot in my journals. I really like the medium nib, and the pen is very comfortable to write with. I have it inked with J Herbin Ambre de Baltique ink, but I think Ambre de Birmanie is easier to find and is very similar. (It’s a very light colored gold/yellow ink, but I still don’t find it difficult to read.)

Pilot Parallel Pen Premium Caligraphy Pen, 4.5mm Nib, White Barrel with Teal Accents

If you’re looking for a pen for calligraphy – italic calligraphy and other broad edge styles of calligraphy – this one is great. It’s so much easier than a dip pen because it uses cartridges. I have a few of these with smaller nibs, but I didn’t have one in this size, and I tend to use this larger nib size often for italic calligraphy. This is one of the easiest pens to learn italic calligraphy with. (This is NOT a pen for pointed pen styles like modern script calligraphy or copperplate. It’s for broad edge types of calligraphy, like italic.)

My work space is a multi-function space. Journaling, calligraphy, reading, Bible study, drawing – everything. So, it had become cluttered with so many books, that I was having trouble using the space. I knew I had to clear up the desk, so I would have room to work and study! I decided that a little cart to hold all of these books I use every day would be helpful because I could just roll it over to where I needed it to be. I looked at quite a few of them before I chose this one. Why did I choose this one? It’s metal, not plastic, and it didn’t require tools to put it together. We all have different skill sets, and let’s just say that putting things together with nuts, bolts, and screwdrivers isn’t one of my strengths! This one popped together in just a few minutes, without tools, has wheels to roll it wherever I need it, and it has cleared up my desk wonderfully. I love it.

We had this same grill for several years, but it eventually wore out. It had been a good grill for us, so I bought the same one! It’s not a grill for big parties or serving crowds, but it’s perfect for us. We’ve been very happy with it.

NIV, Quest Study Bible, Large Print, Leathersoft, Gray/Pink, Comfort Print: The Only Q and A Study Bible

I absolutely love the original version of this Quest Study Bible, which I’ve had for several years. The margins are filled with answers to questions that are fequently asked about the related verses, and it’s been a great resource. But, the text is really small in that one, and I was having trouble reading it, even with my readers. So, I bought this large print version of the same Bible. It’s really big, so it’s not a Bible I’ll be carrying around – I have this smaller one for that – but it’s great for my desk, and I’m really enjoying that it’s much easier on my eyes!
